// Fix your relationship with time
What is your relationship with time like? Is there never enough of it? Is this belief helping you to feel balanced or burned out?
Guess what! The amount of time in a day will NEVER change. What can change though, is your feelings about it. In order to feel less burned out, we need to heal our unhealthy emotional relationship with time.
But how do we do that? Here are some ideas:
1. Change your mindset. Time is just ticking away over there minding it’s business! Time is not to blame. Stop having unrealistic expectations of time and instead try to work with it in harmony.
2. Do a time audit. How are you currently spending your time? Do you spend time on your priorities each day?
3. Do the work to understand what your priorities are for the year. These should not be all work related (I would suggest putting your health at the top). Write them down and review them often.
4. Write down 3 attainable priorities for the day. If it’s part of a bigger goal, break it down. Start here and don’t focus on anything else until those 3 things are complete.
5. If you don’t get something done, let it go. You still deserve to rest, take a break, and stop for dinner. Tomorrow is a new day.
It’s not how much time you have, but how you use it. What if you spent your time more joyfully engaged on your biggest priorities?
Let’s begin to heal our relationship with time and see what happens!
