Eight Ways to Embrace the Vitality of Summer
Summer is a season of growth, vibrancy, and joy. With extended daylight and warm, sunny days, it’s the perfect time to embrace the energy and vitality of the season. This is our chance to cultivate the seeds we've sown and revel in the surrounding abundance.
Here are eight ways to harness the energy of the season:
Level up Your Hydration - Infuse your water with slices of cucumber, lemon, mint, or fresh berries for extra flavour and nutrients.
Try a New Recipe with Seasonal Produce - Head to a local farmer’s market and try a new recipe that features something purchased at the market. Eat outdoors on your patio or in a nearby park to take advantage of the long days.
Do a Growth Audit - We’re officially halfway through the year.
How have you grown as a person so far this year?
What areas of your life would you like to grow in the next 6 months?
What is currently limiting your growth?
What is currently amplifying your growth?
Create a Summer Bucket List - What brings you joy in the summer? What have you always wanted to do? Make a list and pick five things to schedule into your summer plans. Add them to your calendar with reminders so you don’t forget!
Do a Digital Detox - Can you spend a full day off your screens this summer? 2 days? Schedule a digital detox and fill your day(s) outdoors with friends and family instead!
Ground in Nature - Take your shoes off and walk through the grass or sand. Research shows that direct contact with the earth’s electrons can do amazing things for our well-being like increase our energy levels, boost our mood and improve circulation.
Notice the Growth - Look at your garden or a garden in your city. Notice the growth all around you. Notice the abundant leaves, the new flowers, the vibrant colours and the smells of summer. Use this mindfulness practice to inspire your own growth, understanding everything starts as a seed and needs to be nurtured.
Read Outdoors - Grab a book and find a hammock, beach chair or blanket in the park. Lay in the sun and get lost in a good story. Is there anything better?
